The Master of Public Health Program prepares graduates who possess an advanced public health-related education, are capable of critical analysis, understand public health-related decision-making at the level of the individual, population, and government, understand research, and possess knowledge-exchange and dissemination strategies for individuals, populations, and government.

Students are typically available for 400 hours of placement from January 4th to April 8th, 2021.

This is an unpaid for-credit experience (unless remuneration is offered).

Requirements

The practicum placement, which is intended to contribute to an organization’s resources while developing the confidence and professional skills of the student, can include non-clinical projects that focus on Public Health areas such as:

  • infectious disease control/prevention
  • program planning/development/implementation
  • health promotion/community development
  • data management/analysis
  • literature reviews
  • health communication and social marketing campaigns
  • project proposals/grant applications
