The Capstone Project offered by UCW appeared to be well-designed and thoughtfully organized. I also really enjoyed my initial video call with Professor Sherry Campbell, which left me feeling optimistic about the collaboration. Unfortunately, after being accepted and told I would be paired with a student the following week, communication from Professor Campbell stopped. After several follow-up emails on my end, she eventually responded to say that the original student was no longer with the program and that she would be matching me with someone else shortly. Despite further follow-ups, I never heard back. I had cleared time in my schedule and adjusted my workload to prioritize this 10-week collaboration, including tailoring a training outline to best support the student’s specific program. Given the effort I put into preparing, I was disappointed by the lack of follow-through and communication, and felt that my time and willingness to contribute were not respected.
